Rounding, flooring and truncating differ
Rounding goes to whichever multiple is closer. Floor always goes down and ceiling always goes up — including for negatives, where floor(−2.3) is −3, not −2. Truncating just discards digits, so it rounds towards zero and behaves differently from floor on negative numbers.
