Planning for the final

If your final exam is worth w of your overall grade and your current grade (from everything else) is C, the score F you need on the final to reach a target T is:

F = (T − C × (1 − w)) ÷ w

If the required score comes out above 100%, the target isn't reachable from the final alone; if it's zero or negative, you've already locked in your goal.
