The method
length per tube = tube volume ÷ (bead width × bead depth)
Bead size dominates
A standard 10.1 fl oz cartridge holds about 18.2 cubic inches. At a ¼-inch square bead that runs nearly 25 feet; at ½ inch square it manages barely six. Doubling the bead quadruples the consumption, because the cross-section grows in both directions.
For a moving joint the depth should be about half the width, with a backer rod behind it, so the sealant can stretch. A deep bead bonded on three sides tears instead of flexing.
