The method
evaluate a logical expression for every combination of inputs
Operator precedence
NOT binds tightest, then AND, then XOR, then OR — the same ordering as multiplication before addition. So A OR B AND C means A OR (B AND C). Use parentheses when you want anything else; they are never wrong to add.
Three kinds of expression
A tautology is true in every row, a contradiction in none, and everything else is contingent. Two expressions are logically equivalent exactly when their result columns match.
